Hi, I’m Kathi

Art has always been a big part of my life, my Mum filled our home with creativity, music and movies and I’ve always dreamed of becoming an artist.

I attended a vocational school for applied painting, which I really loved. But somehow the system we live in made me believe I couldn’t do anything with this.

So after trying different career paths, including journalism and marketing, I decided a few years ago, to follow my dreams by returning to painting and printmaking.

Travelling

Travelling somewhere else and leaving everyday life is exciting and really important to me. I often feel a little trapped inside of routines and so this feels exciting, relaxing and makes me feel free.

I am calm enough to sit down to draw and so I collect lots of memories in my sketchbooks. Travelling also inspires me where to head next on my artistic journey.

I have a severe fear of flying, so whenever possible I try to find other exciting ways to get where I want to go.

Acting

Acting is something I always wanted to do, but was too afraid to do.

So in my thirties I finally started attending different acting classes.

Since starting, I’ve played Monsieur Bouc in ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and Betty 4 in ‘Collective Rage’.
